I have tried to recover my lost video collection with Recuva and was so pleased when it worked. However, my delight was short lived because all the .mp4 files ended with CRF extension. I tried renaming by deleting the .CRF, but that lost the .mp4. The file is recognised as VLC (which is my media player) but VLC won't play it, nor will WMP.
Can anyone tell me why CRF has appeared and/or how I can solve the problem please ?
