Corrupt files

I lost a folder with many ascii files (mainly js, and xml files). After learning about Recuva I gave it a try, and it looked very promising. Most of the deleted files was reported as salvageable. But after the recovery process, it didn't look that good any more, as all the ascii files I have checked so far are now corrupt.

My text files now looks like this...

Are you sure they were ASCII and not UTF-8 or UNICODE ?

Same case here..

Many deleted files from my SDHC reported as recoverable and successfully recovered with proper file names but looking as corrupted binaries when I trying to open them.

Is there some option to use to recover them. I'll be glad to pay for the app including the support but would like to know that it would be possible...

The same here. I used Recuva to recover Microsoft Office files from a formatted hard drive, it shows the file names, but the content shows corrupt. Please, how can I fix this?
