Hi,
I have about 20 cookies that CCLEANER "never" deletes.I`ve had this software for about 4 years now and the 20 or so cookies still never delete.
If anyone knows why they never delete---please clue me in.

Perhaps you could give a few examples of what they are called.
Do the rest of the cookies you aquire while surfing delete ok?
Also what is your operating system?
Which version of ccleaner do you have?
Which browser do you use?
Do you have adobe/macromedia flash ticked under ccleaner applications?

All the other cookies delete no problem.

Adobe/macromedia is/has always been ticked.

I tried Firefox 2 years ago and it was a disaster,i`ll spare you the details----never again.
Another idea as an alternative is to open tools in Internet Explorer then Internet Options, Privacy and then click Sites. Here you can enter the names (eg.adtmt.com) and click block.
Also have a look in IE at the add-ons, found under tools>manage add ons in case there is an add-on there that you may not want.

I want to DELETE the listed cookies,not block them.
Are you using TACO or Beef TACO or any other Opt-Out addon?
if so it creates those exact cookies with the opt-out flag ticked those are always there b/c the browser remakes them each time

To be honest, a short while ago I would have thought Nergal was making fun of me, too.
I thought a hard drive was 8 hours on a bumpy road. That was before I became the super-sophisticated computer gooroo you see before you now.
And before I came to learn how nice the members here actually are. Now I know differently.
OT: heh heh @login123 you shoulda seen me when I first started answering questions I actually was (purposely) mean to the stupid questions (BTW this is not a stupid question and I really would like to see why this is not working, come back Original poster)
though somehow I missed that this was about IE and not Firefox so for that I do apologize.
again I must pose, does your security product (i.e. norton internet security) have opt-out options?

Because for someone who doesn't know that TACO and Beef TACO are cookies opt-out addons, TACO is...well, a taco.

Note:
A quick solution for this problem is to clean your IE cookie cache entirely and verify if the problem will reappear.
Cleaning all IE cookies using Internet Explorer 8.0
1 - Open IE
2 - Using the menu bar, go to Tools->Internet Options
3 - Press "Delete..." button under "Browsing history" group in General tab
4 - Leave only "Cookies" checked
5 - Press "Delete" button
or
Cleaning all IE cookies using CCleaner:
1 - Close Internet Explorer
2 - Open CCleaner and make sure you don't have any cookies in the "Cookies to Keep" list in Options->Cookies screen
3 - Go to Cleaner screen, check IE->Cookies and IE->Index.dat files rules only and press "Run Cleaner"
4 - Go back to Options->Cookies and verify if your "undeletable" cookies have disappeared from the "Cookies to Delete" list
5 - If not, please restart your machine as Index.dat have been scheduled for deletion in the next reboot
