Cookies Not Being Deleted From Delete Listing

THE FIX! Look at post number #35.

THE FIX! Look at post number #35.

the main quest here is to fix the problem without need to use other software, just CCleaner

this is not fix, but a workaround

with this workaround, it is better to use IE own cleaner

no.35 does not work anyway

I had the same problem with 8.1 until I deleted everything via Internet Options as previously suggested.

Now when I run CC it only fails to delete all the cookies without extensions (eg .com, .net etc)

Does anyone know what is happening to fix this important issue? Need a fix asap

a Dev or Admin member will occasionally chime in with some news but otherwise, like the rest of us, you have to wait for the next release and check if it includes your fix.

Latest version still not deleting cookies without extensions.

Hi all,

#35 is not an option.

Usually CC works a treat, but in win 8.1 ie11 IT DOES NOT WORK...the main worry is that it is NOT deleting all cookies and especially the tracking cookies they all still sit there waiting to be deleted, but nothing happens.

I will uninstall CC and use IE11 to delete, at present a much safer option. I will keep checking for updates.

I had to laugh it took me ten minutes to sign up and log into this forum. The Captcher questions is a joke I cannot make out half of them, the thing that made me laugh is the talking version, go on have a listen see if you can make out what is going on.

Happy Christmas to those that celebrate...

I hate Captcha in any shape or form, there has to be something better. It was brought to attention that the audio version is even worse than the text version as in completely useless to be exact.

Hi,

Can someone please check if now working, after yesterdays win8 update, I reinstalled CC and now seems to delete all cookies.

Len

Mine is working fine now...

Len ;)

Yes Len, mine's working OK now.

on windows 8 and 8.1 one can excess internet explorer from 2 locations

option 1. the icon on the start page

option 2. the desktop

in order to clear all the cookies you need to clear the favorites cookies on internet explorer option 1.

(the cookies which ccleaner can't delete are the ones which were saved on the favorites befor the update from windows 8 to windows 8.1)

here is a link which explains how to do it http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_8/path-to-view-cookies-stored-in-windows-8/2a852352-6cdf-4416-9e04-f7be2eb08a0e?msgId=8775fd34-4ddd-4b7f-82f8-1f345ee64409

after you do it manually once. ccleaner will not have this problem again

good luck
