Cookie retention

I am/was running the next-to-katest versions of ccCleaner on two laptops, an older 32bit Vista and a newer 64 bit Windows 7.

While running CCC for the first time in weeks on the vista, it offered to retain some cookies!

I have NEVER seen this option before, esp on my W7 machine.

I see nowhere in settings/options to invoke this and I would like to!

Any suggestions?

I dont want to add sites manually because

1. a PITA

2. CCC is blank on whether you add domains, single web addresses, etc.

Thanks

options - cookies - *rightclick* - intelligent scan.

Winapp2ini, thank you for responding! Your instructions were *almost* correct.

Not to worry - the website help is also wrong!

the website extract:

Option 3: To use Intelligent Cookie Scan

  1. In CCleaner, click the Options icon on the left.
  2. Click the Cookies button. The list may take a few seconds to load. This list displays cookies from all the browsers you have installed on your system.
  3. By default, all cookies are in the Cookies to Delete column. To keep the cookies that store login data for the websites you use (for example web mail) click right mouse button on the Cookies to Delete column and choose Intelligent Scan from the menu list.

For me, I had to click on any actual cookie to get the dialog. it did not appear rt clicking on "cookies" (your idea),

it did not appear rt clicking on the column name ("Cookies to delete") - their idea.

Don't know if slight difference due to different versions or builds (32 vs 64 bit)

But thanks much - just having the correct phrase from you (intelligent scan) enabled me to find the solution.

thanks again!

Oh sorry, I meant click in the pane with the cookies in it, that was pretty unclear. Glad you got yourself sorted though :)
