Cookie .2o7.net

I have recently found that a cookie .2o7.net has appeared on my internet files. It is not in one of my 'included' cookies but CCleaner does not delete it. Why is this/ What can I do to delete it? :o

That's a pretty infamous cookie, and is probably being deleted by CCleaner but is immediately coming back:

You could probably block it with your browser or a hosts file.

Post back if you need more advice on this.

Hope this helps.

Yup as Dennis Stated it's a common internet advertising agency (it's why you'll often see domainyouvisit.2o7.net as a cookie) I block it and many others (as Dennis suggested) via my hosts file. for info on hosts see http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm.

If you use Firefox, You can use the TACO add-in and it'll opt-out of all advertising cookies.

I've finally deleted it!! Many thanks for all your help.

Well done Arley.

Have you other guys seen how many variations of "2o7" are in the hosts file?

It does get around.
