"Compact Databases" under Firefox

Hi Folks!

Would someone be kind enough to explain exactly whats included in the "COMPACT DATABASES" under "Firefox/Mozilla"? i mean what gets lost or shall we say 'cleaned' and is it very important if we clean it up with CCleaner? From what i can tell most of the files that are listed throughout are labeled clear enough to figure out what their referring to. i'm just not hype to "Compact Databases". THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME & EXPERTISE. Have a good one. DannyG.

Hiya Danny!

Compact Databases preforms a process called "vacuuming" on the SQLite files. This essentially clears out the database, and rebuilds it, because over time they become large.
