You are right Humpty, boclean is highly regarded, we'll just have to wait and see what changes this brings about.

Pretty interesting.

I haven't tried BOclean in a long time, hopefully they dont go the MS route and buy stuff up only to ruin it.

nice move by comodo, heard boclean is pretty good. I wanted to check it out before but it didn't have a trial version as far as i know.

I've always wanted to try BOClean myself however as already mentioned with no trial version available that was never possible. Hopefully Comodo doesn't screw it up, especially when it comes to the uninstaller.

No, they didn't have a trial version, but I had hook ups. :P (well, a buddy with a licnese.)

Hopefully Comodo doesn't screw it up, especially when it comes to the uninstaller.

The following is stated at the Comodo Forums:

Well, we will continue with the whole product range. We will make available sizeable amount of resources to Kevin so that he can take all these products to next level. Kevin will be responsible (as he was) for taking these products to next level and we as Comodo will support him fully by enabling much more resources for him.

All we want to do is to continue the great tradition that Kevin & Nancy has successfully carried out and enable Kevin to make his products even better. He just has more resources to achieve it now.

Apparently Comodo BOclean will be out next week or so

It actually sounds like this could be a positive change then. Since they are keeping the original developer and letting him still be in charge, I don't see how the program could turn into crap over night.

This must be why!

I hope they don't integrate boclean into the firewall. Thats a sure fire way to just make stuff bloated.

I guess they could add a "security center" thing but to me thats just more bloat as well. Do people really need a service running thats only purpose is to tell them what they have installed? I would hope not...
