Clear out Search Web

All right; probably a very simple answer and I am just finding it... I enter a subject in the Search Web function at the top of the screen; get my info, etc. No problem. How do I delete or clear the function; I don't want to see all the 'a' sites I have looked for everytime for I for another 'a' or b or c , etc. Must be someway to make the computer forget what I have looked at... Thanks.

Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options (or go to Control Panel, then click on Internet Options). In the General tab, click Clear History.

Yep, did that, but the history remains.... :(

To clear: Internet Options > General > Browsing history > Delete > Form data

EDIT: Note that clears all typed form data.

To disable: Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Use AutoComplete for ... deselect "Web addresses"

Yes!!! Thank you so much (and I have made a note of this).
