cleaning recycle bin and secure deletion

I have used CCleaner successfully for quite a while and always accept updates when offered. With version 3.26.1888 everything runs as perfectly as before, but the recycle bin now usually is cleaned instantaneously whereas with previous versions of CCleaner it sometimes took 10 minutes or more to empty the recycle bin. Is CCleaner still doing the same job of "secure deletion" as in previous versions?

I see under options, that I still have "secure deletions" checked.

In a related issue, since I have selected under options "automatic wipe free space" on drives C & D, does this mean that this operation is carried out automatically every time you run CCleaner, or do you have to manually decide when to perform this operation?

Thank you for your input. I am very happy with the product and continue to use it every day.

Under the Windows tab\ System, I clean the Recycle Bin by right clicking it and cleaning. It always takes only a few secs.

fyi — I don't have ☐Wipe Free Space ticked. I prefer to wipe with Tools\ Drive Wiper, and only rarely. Don't punish your drive with excessive cleaning and defragging.

If it's set to 1-pass that would typically be fast. Also from previous change logs they'd improved the Recycle Bin cleaning, so "perhaps that's why it's so much faster." You could always verify if it's wiping the contents of the Recycle Bin by scanning with Piriform Recuva.
