it was cleaning 10X the amount of old data, not it's down to almost nothing, can anyone suggest a fix? it's updated and working fine otherwise

You need to give a lot more info in order for us to have some idea of what you are experiencing.
We need to know things such as what operating system you are using.
Which build of CCleaner.
Which browser you use.
Any error messages.
Etc, etc.
