I removed a partition (d: drive) from my HD using Disk Manager on Win7. I had a very few programs there and had backed up data to a external drive. I did fail to uninstall these programs. All programs were reinstalled to c: drive after the de-partition - except Open Office.
After I tried to reload OpenOffice I got an error that referred to drive d: (which was de-partioned away.) The Control Panel-> Program Uninstall won't remove OpenOffice. "Can't find D: drive."
Will ccleaner solve my problem? Any suggestions.
Hi PinkFloydFan413, and welcome to the forum from another Pink Floyd fan.
I've never installed a program to a drive other than my System Drive, but I'm guessing you'll have a lot of leftovers in the registry, and maybe some folders left behind somewhere besides the folders on the D: drive.
You could try removing the leftovers with "Windows Installer Clean Up Utility", which I have to point out is no longer supported by Microsoft, but is still a very good tool for removing corrupt or damaged MSInstaller installed programs, and is compatible with Win7 32 & 64bit.
Yours may not fit the above mentioned category exactly, but as it's still listed in Add/Remove Programs, worth a try.
Install "Windows Installer Clean Up Utility", and when you run it it will list all the applications on your computer that it can remove. From your description of your actions, "Open Office" should be picked up by it.

Hope that helps.
