Is it possible to add something to winapp2.ini,
that will clean all .gid files from my hard drives?
Thanks for any comments.

Well the same question was asked a few weeks ago if you browse. The gid files are made when you open the older type Windows help files *.hlp. As I said in the other post there isn't a great deal you can do with them. Everytime you open the help file if there isn't a gid file of the same name in the same folder then it produces one. This just collects a bit of info on the help file, size, co-ordinates etc. If you delete then all they will only be produced again the next time you open the help file. And lets face it they aren't that big in size are they?

Thank you for for your reply.
I was unable to find .gid on the search,
so went ahead and asked the question.
