Chrome history not being cleared on new machine

Good evening,

I seem to be experiencing a strange issue with the latest version of CCleaner not clearing my Google Chrome history correctly.

I very recently upgraded my computer and am now running on completely new hardware and a 64bit OS (Win 7). I'm using Google Chrome for Business so that it installs to the Program Files directory.

When I run a clean, it seems to pick up some stuff, but if I check my web history (CTRL + H), none of it has been cleared. No Chrome processes are running after it is closed.

Is anybody able to lend a hand? I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but i'm using an SSD.

User Dir: %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default

Many thanks!

Matt

I presume that you have gone to the main CC Page - and then clicked on applications?

Chrome should listed on the bottom left hand side, and 'ticked' where necessary.

I hope the answer is this simple - works for me :)

Hi Mate,

Thanks for your reply!

It appeared to be a bug which has since been fixed.

Many thanks.

please start your own thread you issue is very different

Problem now cleared and CC working as it should. The only think I can possibly tie it into was a firmware update for my WD live duo 6TB drive that I use for backup. Noticed my DVD rom was not working and seemed to have two drivers listed against it one of them being from WD. Removed this and both the DVD rom and CCleaner working as they should how odd is that?

glad you figured it out
