Why am I being charged a full month in advance for a product that I was supposed to get two years out of? Also, why is it so difficult to get a hold of anyone at CCleaner?? I canceled this product at least two weeks ago and it still charged me. Tell me that ain’t sus??
Such practices are fairly common with subscriptions, nobody likes them except the companies doing it.
However such practices will soon be against the law here in the UK:
The fact that the UK Government has felt the need to legislate against these ‘dodgy’ supscription practices shows just how common such practices are.
If you are not in the UK then push for your own government to pass similar laws?
Hopefully though the new UK laws will affect behaviour globally.
Companies who do subscription business in the UK will need to change their subscription services to comply with the new legislation. (or face fines of up to 10% of their global turnover).
It’s usally easier to change the systems for everyone rather that trying to run 2 seperate systems.
