CCleaner's registry cleaner problem

I've been using CCleaner for many months, never encountering any problems, but in the last couple of days the registry cleaner has been finding the same unused file extension every time I run the cleaner. Every time I press the "Fix Selected Issues" button to get rid of this but it keeps coming up again the next time I do a scan. I included a screen shot below of this:

It says that it's likely from a program that was uninstalled but for some reason I can't get rid of this file extension.

It's not causing any problems right now with my PC, or at least I'm not noticing any problems, however, I'm not sure if it will down the line.

Edit - I should also add that I was on Win XP when this started happening, but today I've wiped my PC clean and installed Windows 7, however, this unused file extension still comes up during the scan.

I'd appreciate any help or advice.

Edit 2 - Well I've found what the problem was and have fixed it. For anyone encountering this same thing, it is an extension used by Avira anti virus program, specifically version 9. I found what to do with it on Piriform's forum, here's a link http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=21003
