CCleaners compatabity with Vista

Hello The Group

Still smarting from the rejection of programs while using Vista Home Ed -- I venture to ask is Ccleaner compatable with this OS

I would be gratful for opinions re the value of Registry Cleaners. in general!!!!!

I have been reading reports that extened from claimes that they are the best thing suince sliced bread to warnings that the are not only useless but can damage the Registry

Any Advice Please

CCleaner works fine with Vista - I use it all the time on my Vista laptop and haven't had any problems.

CCleaner's registry cleaner is generally considered safe, however with all systems being different you still need to look at what the registry cleaner wants to remove, and do make the .REG backups CCleaner offers until you're comfortable with the program.

If in doubt about removing something please ask on these forums first, before doing the actual registry cleaning.
