CCleaner won't let me cancel my account

CCleaner will no longer let me log into my account so I can’t discontinue my subscription. I registered with what I’m assuming was the email address that was discontinued from my grad program. I can no longer access the registration information needed in order to unenroll. ADDITIONALLY, CCleaner deleted my audio driver and now I’m having trouble reinstalling them so that I had audio on my laptop! What the hell! Where can you contact a real person???

If you can no longer access the email that you used to register then you will need to contact support.

Note that as you will not be using the registered email then the system will not recognise you as having paid for support and so it will take much longer to get a reply from a person.

You should be aware that support are taking a very long time to reply at the moment, particularly if your CCleaner isn’t showing as registered with them yet so it’s not showing that you have actually paid for support.

I’m afraid that you will just have to be patient and wait for support to reply - But I can give you a tip:

Once you have sent a request then don’t send further emails/requests until you get a reply from a support agent.
If you do then that will just slow things down even more.
While your request is in the queue waiting to get to a support person the queueing system will see any/all new communication from you as further information for your existing request, so adds it to the ones you have already sent and puts it all at the back of the queue again as one new request.

Hi Nukecad, I appreciate that advice. I’ve already submitted two requests to support (which now I know may not have been a good idea to submit multiple requests). At this point I got one email from Korine May | CCleaner Support - Manila, Philippines. She says she can help me unsubscribe but of course asks why I want to delete my account. Since my reply to her initial message she hasn’t replied to my email. I have a feeling I’m never going to hear from a real person again. Seriously disappointed by the lack of sufficient support.

As you have already had a reply from a support person but they have gone quiet then I have bumped this up for staff attention.

(PS. We forum moderators share the disappointment with the current poor account support).

I still haven’t heard anything back from any ccleaner staff. Do you know of any alternative way to reach someone?

Sorry, I don’t.

We moderators are users like yourself and not company employees, so all we can do is keep giving the company staff a poke when support haven’t resolved things for a customer.
It’s then up to the staff to take further action and get back to the customer.
