CCleaner wiped my secondary harddrive almost completely

Hello. I've been using CCleaner for a few years and never had any issues. I was doing a PC cleanup today and updated my version and ran the cleaner. I have an SSD as my main drive and use a 1tb harddrive as my main storage unit. I would have put money that I've ran ccleaner on my PC since I started using this set-up, but I guess not as I didn't change anything but the utility almost completely wiped out everything I had on my secondary drive. Can someone tell me the options I need to disable in order to avoid this in future uses.

The only feature that could come close to doing this is the drive wiper tool. It has, in order to delete your drive, to be set in a way that makes clear it is wiping the entire drive.

If you only use the cleaner section of ccleaner entire drive deletion will not and cannot occur

what are the chances one of the following may be applicable;

1) the files stored on the HDD all fell under a CC category and they were all cleaned (like temp files, log files, browser histories, etc)

2) you use winapp2.ini or another enhancer that has gone batsh!t crazy

3) you use a very broadly defined INCLUDE

4) you have your own custom ccleaner,ini file

granted, all very improbably, but not impossible.

I assume your SSD has your Program Files, Windows, and User folders?

What was on the HDD that was lost?, that may give a clue as to what went on.
