First I only use FireFox ESR (Currently on v128.5.1 (updated 2024/11/29) - CCleaner knows but is claiming that there is an update - but the version cited (v133) is the non-ESR version - this is not correct advice. I have to use FireFox ESR (v128.5.1 currently) for software compatiblity for over a decade with no issues. Please repair this as it is quite annoying.
Secondly - it also advised installing a ‘Preview update’ windows patch. Go to Askwoody website (which I have used for years now) run by SysAdmins (which I have been) and it always advises readers against doing so - they even have a ‘MS-DEFCON’ status on their website guiding all (including non-subscribers) as to when it is safe to update to the normal updates – never mind the preview (essentially beta) versions of patches – (which are usually a recipe for disaster).
Please fix these issues soon as I cannot pause the update nag on the app nor exclude the app - as can be done with Driver updates… perhaps this should be added in as a new feature…?
