CCleaner Will Not Open

Auto update CCleaner 7, after install I couldn’t open it. So, I rebooted figuring it needed that, still, it loads, I see the icon in my tray, but if I right click and select “open ccleaner” it does nothing.

If I go to task manager it shows as a running process.

I rebooted my machine again and still exact same issue, no access to the software. I’m 1yr into a 2yr subscription for CCleaner Premium.

What does the world of CCleaner or it’s users suggest?

I’m running on a Windows 10 pro 64bit machine

same here….

Are you meaning the System Tray? (on the right where the time/date is).
I haven’t tried launching from there myself, it may be a bug.

Do you not have an Icon on your Desktop that you can double-click to launch it from.

Have you tried launching it from the start menu?
Either select it from the list of apps on the start menu or open the start menu and simply type- CCleaner - a window should open giving you the option to launch it.

If you are still having problems with CCleaner 7 thenyou can always roll back.

Hi @rlhoward59 & @PietjeCCleaner,
I have sent you a DM to request more details on the issue you are experiencing.

yes, system tray

I have an icon on the desktop also, no response from it either, I’ve tried launching it every way possible, system tray, desktop, start menu, directly from the .exe file in the CCleaner 7 folder. It’s running, I can see it in task manager, the only thing I can do from task manager is close or exit the program/process.

No screen opens at any time for me to adjust settings or perform any work with CCleaner.
