I had recently realized that my computer had been taking longer to open everything. I installed CCleaner just having it declutter files but it was still taking up to 30 sec for anything to load. So yesterday I went ahead and bought a year subscription to your service and it told me I needed to restart my computer to effectively go through my computer to resolve the issue. So I did. However, my laptop was stuck on the boot up screen for over 5 hours. That’s a ridiculous amount of time for an update and from whst I was seeing it was making no progress whatsoever so I restarted my laptop because I have classwork I need to get done. Come to find out my laptop can’t even get past the boot up screen anymore. As a matter of fact I can’t even hard reset my computer I’ve been up all night worrying about how to get all of my files back on my computer while still being able to use it. I am begging to wish I never picked up the service as I am no longer able to turn in my work because I can’t access it on my own laptop. Im really trying to remain optimistic about this but I honestly have no clue what to do and I’m pretty sure all my files have been wiped from my computer. Any sort of assistance would be amazing
As you say that your machine isn’t booting normally then lets concentrate on fixing that.
Without knowing exactly which parts of CCleaner that you ran the best option I can suggest is to use the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) to get your machime working again.
If/when you can’t boot normally you will need to enter the Windows RE by power-cycling the on/off button 3 times.
See “Access to Windows Recovery Environment” the first option “Automatic Repair” here for how to do that:
Once you are into the Windows RE then use “Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair > Restart”
