We now have a bit more info to share about what is currently happening with v7.
CCleaner v7, and the dissapearing Smart Cleaning and Scheduling
We are told that:
Scheduling will be included in the November release, with Smart Cleaning following shortly after that, hopefully
CCleaner v7, and Custom Clean ‘Unable to Clean’
The ‘Unable to clean’ items currently showing in Custom Clean it seems are not new.
It doesn’t mean that all the files can’t be cleaned - just that some of them can’t be cleaned.
They are files that can only be cleaned when they are closed and are skipped when they are open.
They will be cleaned next time if they are closed.
CCleaner v6 and before didn’t always show when some files couldn’t be cleaned.
CCleaner v6 and before does say ‘Skipped’ when it can’t clean open browser files, eg:
