Main features this month is the addition of an Internet Explorer Add-On manager. Additionally we've added better browser support including Firefox 9.0.

Just downloaded the latest version and am trying to find the new "IE add-on manager" mentioned prominently in the Release Notes, but to no avail.

Is this in the CCleaner application itself or in Internet Explorer?

I have looked all over my IE 9 "Tools" Section but I can find no reference to this either.

Please direct me to exactly where this new feature is and how it can be accessed and used.

As far i can understand it is in the Tools > Startup dialog. Here are listed all IE addons (or IE Extension or IE Helper) entries, if any.

These entries can be enabled, disabled or deleted, as usual.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that couldn't find it. What on earth are IE addons doing in the startup section, people are gonna be assuming (totally logically) these are programs running when their computer starts up. How long till we get a stream of posts from people thinking they're infected cos CCleaner is showing start up items that aren't showing in msconfig or any other startup analyser program.

IE Extensions also applies to Explorer extensions, such as QtTabBar (a tabbing extension for Windows Explorer)

Yeah, they need to break startup into 3 sections, as i have long said now. This is just way too confusing. IE plugins on startup?

They need it like this:

- BHO (Browser Helper Objects)

- Startup

- Tasks

They may be placed on the same screen, segregated into 3 sections, where a user can disable BHO + Startup + Tasks.

I have long known that there are 3 kinds of startup, & that is BHO/Startup/Tasks (scheduled). So when are they gonna finally catch up to this?

IE and Explorer are grouped as one thing, they should be separate :)
