At Piriform, we're continuing to evaluate Windows 7 in the wild, and incorporate more Windows 7-specific features into CCleaner and our other products.

CCleaner can now vacuum (or compact) SQLite databases for Firefox and Google Chrome, which can speed up those browsers.

We've also added in cleaning for your computer's DNS cache.

We've made many other improvements which are listed below:

  • Improved Registry screen "fix selected issues" dialog usability by removing prompt.
  • Further improved RECURSE and REMOVESELF functionality.
  • Improved Uninstall screen detection algorithm.
  • Improved memory usage to avoid GDI leaks.
  • Fixed issue with Sticky Notes being detected as Missing startup item.
  • Fixed "Edit" and "Remove" button availability on Include/Exclude screen.
  • Fixed various GUI bugs.

UPDATE: bug about opening several CCleaner session while is minimized to tray wasn't fixed :(

Why aren't the versions of Piriform products displayed?

* Improved "Save to text file" functionality in Cleaner screen.

A suggestion for the default suggested file name: CCleaner_log.

MrG you should incorporate a way to contact the translator for fixes and for asking him/her to work in other projects... in that way the thanks will be bigger :P

I'd think that adding DNS clearing would be moot since DNS entries expire pretty quickly (to my knowledge) but I suppose someone could find a use for this.

When I use the new DNS cache functionality, CCleaner hangs up!

Yes it works great for me but I would like to see a button on the results page that you can click if you want to see the full results. I know if you right-click and select View detailed results it puts a button saying View summary results. I've read topics on here asking how they can see all results, with a button it would be obvious and simple. This Summary view has been used on the past 10 versions. I've also see that users have asked for this option a long time ago but I see nothing as changed. ;)
