Thanks Mr. G.

Very much appreciated ! Just hoping 1.4 secure delete will erase file names as well as content. That one improvement will make the wait worthwhile. ;-)

It's not here yet - http://CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx (probably later though) .. where all the builds for it generally are..

But it's already at Betanews... ;)

Just got it there .. and installed it .. and ran it already :P

It rans good as always .. thanks MrG! :)

---

The only thing - Betanews offers only "full install" CC.. - so when i ran it, i forgot about that Yahoo Toolbar that's incorporated in it .. - i forgot to select NOT to install it.. lol

AND the Install gave it to me!

.. Had to "weed it out" right away! :P

Thanks again MrG!

Well... I'm ALMOST at a loss for words. Just downloaded V1.4 and it STILL does not ERASE file NAMES ! ! Sorry - just being honest. After weeks and weeks of waiting, it is still not securely erasing files - which includes file NAMES, by virtually anyone's definition.

I'm as frustrated as you but nowhere does it say that was to be added to this version.

Thanks for the fixes Mr.G

H!

Does the latest version work on VISTA 64-BIT? If not will it eventually. Thanks in advance

rbeekman

Hello.

Nice version Mr. G.

And about the whole file name thing, rbeekman, he was saying that the list didn't list the fix for that. He didn't say he couldn't see the change log.

So I hear there will be news about version 2.0 by next week? :D

Thank you.

Versionj 1.40 still does not securely delete files. It closes without doing anything when set for secure delete.

I hope all these bugs are for Vista users. It appears that programming for full Vista compatibility is

a damn big bear.

MrG

Layman,

Huh?

What did you mean by that? .. Are you looking to download CC or something maybe?

Here you can find any of it's packages .. they all would work:

http://CCleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp

No, Darkman,

layman, rbeekman, and others (no offense), should just click the "FastReply" or "AddReply" buttons

cause they don't seem to understand how to use "Quote" and/or "Reply" and somehow

end up just posting the quoted reply without their personal message.

Well.. It was Layman's first post after all...

And he put "?" at the very beginning..

So just in case he was looking for the proggy (cuz at the the end of the quote it said: "The download will go up in the next few hours. ") .. who knows.... more likely he wasn't .. but maybe he was, lol :)

So just in case.. i provided a link for him where he can Download it ;)

ok, wasn't sure if you knew about the problem new forum users have been having.

You may be right, or its a combination, hope he comes back :)

LOL...I'm sure he will....

AJ

Yeah probably scared him off now.. :(

Thank you for your work.

I can't wait until V2 is available!
