Ccleaner Unregistered wiped my ProgramData folder

So... I ran CCleaner like I always do, did a Cleanup like I always do and... After restarting the computer because of an update for my avast! Antivirus, I found most of my programs stopped working.

Turns out CCleaner wiped my C:\ProgramData folder, and screwed up everything.

Now what?

Edit: So, MS Office 2016 no longer works, my Windows user picture shows a black square, had to reinsert my Malwarebytes AM key, had to reinsert my Start10 key, Bluestacks App Player is gone... This is just what I just found out broke.

Edit2: Tried to recover the folder with Recuva but most of the files are corrupted... Thanks CCleaner, I'll never use you again.

Right let's start from the beginning.

What operating system are you running?

What build number of Ccleaner ?

Did you do a registry clean?

So you did a clean, and then because of an update from Avast, you had to restart your PC, and then your ProgramData folder was gone?

Lots of folk use Win 10 with the free version of Ccleaner (me included) and have never had the ProgramData folder removed. I doubt if Ccleaner could do that. Something else must be happening here to cause this.

also, how have you 'customised' CC?

do you use winapp2.ini or any other enhancements?

do you have custom INCLUDE's?
