CCleaner>Tools>UNINSTALL?

Hi,

Apparently it is customary to announce being NEW to this forum. Consider it done. I am new to any forum, though I have been using computers for a while. I find all this very confusing, no wonder I haven't gotten involved with forums.

My question is this: In using the CCleaner> Tools > on the menu an item "Uninstall" listed a lot of good programs that I use on a regular basis. Why is CCleaner suggesting they be uninstalled?

Hi Ivy, and also welcome to the forum.

I'm sure Hazelnut won't mind me mentioning that I think you are misinterpreting the purpose of the "Uninstall" function of CCleaner.

It isn't actually suggesting that you use the "Uninstall" function in the same way you use the "Cleaner" function.

Uninstall is simply a tool to be used as you would use Windows "Add/Remove programs" tool".

Only use it if you want to uninstall a program, simply as an alternative to using Windows "Add/Remove programs".
