CCleaner system tray icon often appears even though I have disabled the option in the program settings

Hello,

I’ve noticed that the CCleaner system tray icon often appears even though I have disabled the option in the program settings. This suggests that the setting is not working as intended.

Could you please investigate this issue and ensure that the tray icon remains hidden when the user has chosen to disable it? It would improve the user experience and make the behavior consistent with the selected preferences.

Please send me a screenshot so the option disabled and the icons showing in the system tray. Additionally, send us log files so we can investigate this issue further.

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe
  2. Replicate the issue on your end.
  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.
  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.

Hello, thanks. Well i think could be over all problem

but i follow doing first services: disabled and stopped ccleaner 7 , then from properties, “C:\Program Files\Piriform\CCleaner 7\CCleaner_service.exe” service run, <← this put also for not used

But if there arrived Updates, probably these must do again? you could improve as feedback cc-cleaner so there would be setting that program absolutely do nothing in background if wanted.

If this continues to show system tray, then i will try that support tool also probaby later,

Here screenshots, and as new thing, this system tray arrived ALTHOUGH cc-cleaner 7 was disabled in services and properties also turned off, so tray arrived like BEFORE also.

So there is something weird why it forces this system tray with any settings but always in program been OFF but that does not work.

additionally, cc-cleaner also worked weird way in my OTHER computer, where i uninstalled that.

There is not much problems in users computers probably but if uses laptop or desktop computer, there is always something?

Hello, i will If seems essential, but now for some time seems not arrive this tray icon , not sure what reasons, i will follow situation.
