CCleaner Registry Audio/Systems all screwed up?

Hello! I really need help here!

I have an HP 2000 Notebook PC with Windows 8.

I'm not really too savvy with this kind of stuff but I'm pretty sure I might have destroyed my computers system with the CCleaner Registry cleaning feature. I unfortunately didn't know the dangers of using this and was really careless.

I accidentally started cleaning the registry without backing it up. I tried to cancel it but there was a pop-up afterwards (probably asking me to back-up something) and I just exited it out.

Now I have absolutely no audio and I can't really open Control Panel. I've restarted my computer a few times and I've tried to do a system restore but it didn't really help and just showed an error message.

Is fixing this something that's really difficult? I don't really have much money to pour into fixing this situation but I just wanted to know what I've gotten myself into.

I've been trying to do a factory reset but it's be sitting there in Please Wait..Preparing mode for 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not sure if that's normal or if the registry problem has corrupted that too.

I'm also not sure if me having AVG adds on to this problem.

Any at all help or advice would really be appreciated! Thank you!

Here's a screencap of the error I get after trying to system restore. No idea what any of this means.

You may end up having to do a Windows Refresh. See 'option 2' here
