CCleaner Portable ccsetup630.zip quarantined

I was participating in the v6.29 Trojan thread but reached my 3-post limit, and so I started a new thread.

I just downloaded CCleaner Portable ccsetup630.zip and it finished downloading, but MS Defender quickly quarantined it.

Thanks for reporting this, as you know from the other thread it appears to be a False Positive by Defender.

The above update fixed it but wait… v6.29 false positives were flip flopping with each Security intelligence version update for several days.

Hi donb1:

Thanks for the heads ups.

I’ve unmarked my topic MS Defender Detects Portable ccsetup629.zip as Trojan:Win32/Sonbokli.A!cl as Solved after encountering a problem with a fresh download today of ccsetup630.zip.

Dell Inspiron 15 5584 * 64-bit Win 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.5131 * Firefox v132.0.2 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.24090.11-1.1.24090.11 * Malwarebytes Premium v5.2.1.144-1.0.5088 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.7783 * CCleaner Free Portable v6.30.11385

V6.29 marked unsolved? I still have v6.29 portable and it has long since been unquarantined after a few flip-flopping security intelligence updates.

UPDATE:
I just downloaded a fresh copy of v6.30 portable and it was quickly quarantined. The previous copy I downloaded yesterday is still unquarantined. I then ran a scan on it and that resulted in Access denied.
