I am running Ccleaner on a Samsung z flip 7 with Android 16. Ccleaner is taking an extremely long time and failing to clean nearly all caches. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and checked permissions. I’m getting system error or device not supported tags against most apps in the report. Grateful for any help!

I am also having issues with CCleaner on my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL running Android 16.
The junk cleaner seems to work fine, but where the sleep mode used to work very well a short time back, now it hangs up, lags, spins, then finally says “Process Complete". But when I open the results, every app says the process failed, undefined error. I have cleaned cache, cleaned storage, turned off and on all permissions requested, tried to close only 1 app at a time instead of all apps, even uninstalled and reinstalled CCleaner, but still have had no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Please let me know which version of CCleaner Android you are using?
You can see this by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the app and selecting About this app from the menu that appears.

I have the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra running Android. CCleaner is not functioning properly since my Android version was upgraded to version 16. I have also contacted support about the issue.

I’ve never had a serious problem with CCleaner [v. 25.17.0] and my Android 16 until the most recent Samsung Update [#24 ~ downloaded 09/25/2025]. Now the Cleaner is essentially non-functional. Grateful to be allowed into the queue for a solution.
(I say never “a serious problem”, since the cleansing process does seem to stumble on Chrome’s Hidden Cache. But that’s minor, really.)
This is a great app; I’m a long-time user & admirer.

is everyone in this thread on a samsung? seems to be a common denominator but i may have missed a non-Samsung in the thread (for what it’s worth CCleaner runs fine on my pixel 6pro android 16

Thank you for letting us know it’s a Samsung issue.
there’s a difference between a postulation and a cause. I noted they are all Samsung. that might not be completely the answer, or a factor at all, or one that leaks into other ROMs/Companies that just don’t factor into my vanilla Pixel rom. But yeah, after years at XDA lurking and helping, I do note that so far everyone who answered said Samsung.

Is your beta a Pixel if so I can see if i can get some folks with that beta to test ccleaner, if it doesn’t require pro, this problem.
I’m also having the same issue. I have a Samsung Galaxy A36 5G on Android 16 & it fails to clean everything. Is there a fix yet for this? I love this app. Please fix ASAP!
