CCleaner not removing Run History

Hi,

I've been using CC for several years and always update as a new version is released.

Just found a new problem.

Use the Run command in Start Menu (I chose to run msconfig, followed by a CMD command)

Both ran OK

Did some web surfing, put some stuff in the Recycle Bin.

Then ran CC as usual.

See attached screen shot for my CC settings

Temp files cleaned OK

Histories cleared OK

Log files cleared OK

Bin emptied OK

Went back to Run (Start Menu) and both commands still available.

Log out of XP, log in (or restart PC) and commands have now gone. They should have gone as soon as CC was run and with previous versions of CC, they would have done.

This happens on two completely seperate PCs, both running as follows:

Win XP Home SP3

CCleaner Version 2.33.1184

Setting Run (in Start Menu) as ticked.

This is normal. :)

Every time you type something in the Run box it gets written to the registry,

but is also stored in memory for faster access.

CCleaner clears this history from the registry, not from memory,

so you have to log out > log in (or restart) to actually clear the Run box.

Thanks for that Metalj - I was convinced that it had not behaved that way before but so it goes.

I am trying to delete the whole windows run history, both manually and with CCleaner, but no matter what I do the Run paths (to documents i have dealt with, downloads, etc) keep showing up (it displays in some kind of drop down menu, with all the Windows Run History List). Although you cannot access to those files, you have them listed for ever... Have no virus, since I run almost superantispyware almost every day, so I do not know what this is about.

Thanks
