CCleaner keeps cleaning files that already been erased

ccleaner was cleaning the recycle bin. I stopped it and deleted the rest of the files using windows 10.

Now every time i run ccleaner, it starts to clean files that do not exist. the amount of files was 51 gb. so, this continued as if the files still exists.

It sounds like your recycle bin may have been corrupted. See here

No. the recycle bin is already cleaned, but ccleaner keeps cleaning as if it has made a list and it is working on it regardless whether the files still there or are deleted. but the list does not really exist because it has been deleted by another software and the bin is already clean.

The files still exist regardless. deleted files only have the pointer removed. 51gb is a lot of files. My advice let ccleaner have it's way and run for a while, without overwriting. Failing that you could also have a looking with https://windirstat.net

but that could still be your issue

that's the thing about corrupted files - they are corrupted!

it could be showing you everything is OK but behind the scenes, you may have crap still in the Recycle Bin.

follow the link provided by @hazelnut and see if that helps.
