I've unchecked History in the Options section but CCleaner continues to wipe out my Chrome browsing history.
Why is this happening? More important, how can I fix it? I like to clear out temporary files, index.dat, and cookies -- but not history.

There is no such thing as an index.dat for chrome, make sure you are turing history off in the correct place
