CCleaner ignoring "Cookies to Keep" list

I want to keep several cookies, such as the one for my banking website that stores my family's usernames (NOT passwords). I have had to re-add the users every time I have run CCleaner. Each time, I go back to the "Cookies" settings in CCleaner, and look for another cookie that I might have missed, and add it to the "Cookies to Keep" list. But, it never works. No matter what cookies I choose to keep, there are several websites that end up losing my previously saved settings (usernames, etc).

Why bother having this feature, if CCleaner ignores it??? Or am I missing something?

Also, is there a way to restore the cookies that CCleaner has deleted? I don't see them in the Recycle Bin. And, I don't see an "undo" function in CCleaner. But, when you run the Registry Cleaner, there is an option to back up the registry before cleaning. Is there a way to back up cookies before cleaning?

See if anything in a recent topic sheds any light and helps, someone else is having a similar issue with bank cookies:
