cCleaner Icon on File Icon?

Long time user, first time poster.

This is hard to describe.

I just noticed in the last 48 hours that media files - avi's, mkv's, and the like - all have a cCleaner icon in the lower right corner of the file's icon in Windows Explorer.

What gives? And, how do I make it go away?

What operating system?

Have you used the registry cleaner in Ccleaner program?

What program opens when you double-click on one of the files?

If you right-click on one of the files and select..open with... then browse to the program you want to use and, after selecting the program, tick always use this program does the ccleaner icon go away?

You actually may just need to rebuild the icon cache.

What operating system?

Glad to hear things are sorted now.

Possibility the system icons could need refreshed.
