The CCleaner for Mac app no longer works. It won’t launch when double clicked and the icon has disappeared from the menu bar/?

Have you recently updated to a newer macOS version? If so, that could be the problem. Regardless, you might have better luck by using the form at: CCleaner Support Community

same issue here today aftrer upgrade to 15.7.7 (24G720)

The CCleaner for Mac app no longer works. It won’t launch when double clicked and the icon does not even appear on the dock below. I am on MacOS Sequoia 15.7.5.

Now on Sequoia 15.7.7. Still NoGo. This is a long outstanding issue. I wonder why Piriform hasn’t resolved it yet.

Hi @Grenades911,
Please try the below camand in Termainal to try to resolve the issue?

  1. Open Terminal (you can find it via Spotlight — press ⌘ + Space and type “Terminal”)
  2. Copy and paste the following command exactly as shown, then press Return:
/bin/launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/com.piriform.ccleaner.plist
  1. Once the command has run, try launching CCleaner again by double-clicking the icon.
