I do not want Firefox to clean the cookies. If it cleans them all, I won't have the cookies I want to keep. This causes problems with, for example, my bank website. It will say it doesn't recognize my computer and I will be required to have them send a temporary code in order to access the website. The same problem will occur with other security conscious websites. I will just have to put up with having unwanted cookies on my computer until this problem is fixed...assuming it will ever be fixed.
Hi eliascm,
I've been trying to follow this thread but it's not clear just how you are trying to use CCleaner.
Some of the things you have posted seem to say that you are not quite sure how it works.
Let's see if I can help with some screenshots.
Firstly
I am not concerned about Cookies to Keep, but with the long list of cookies I don't want to keep.
That says to me that you mean this screen:
You can't clean cookies at that screen, it just enables you to move them between the 2 lists.
To delete cookies you need to select them on the main cleaning screen, for each browser you use.
If they are not selected there they will not be cleaned.
If they are selected then when you click on the big blue 'Run Cleaner' button they will be removed.
Firefox or other browsers are on the second tab, 'Applications', again they need to be selected to be cleaned.
I do not want Firefox to clean the cookies. If it cleans them all, I won't have the cookies I want to keep.
That is the reason for the screen shown in the first screenshot above.
You move the cookies you want to keep into the 'Cookies to Keep' list and CCleaner with leave those ones alone.
Hope that helps.
Sorry, but this doesn't help. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have the proper item checked for cleaning Firefox cookies. I have learned that the cookies cannot be deleted from the CCleaner screen list. I have tried everything suggested by the previous posters except deleting the cookies using Firefox itself. I am not going to answer any more of these posts unless someone has a credible solution that I haven't yet tried.
Sorry but it's still not clear just what you are seeing.
Can you post a screenshot?
Make sure that 'Advanced Report' is selected in Options>Advanced.
Go to the cleaning screen and either Analyze or Run Cleaner.
Take a screenshot of the results and post it in your next reply.
It should look something like this:

Will try this & post back.
Edit: I followed the instructions & then opened Edge to visit this site & post, after closing Edge CCleaner ran cleanup but cookies were still listed - see afterclean screengrab. I then went to analyse cookies & it said all was clean/no cookies - seeafteranaly screengrab.

I can easily clean the cookie on the left side:
highlight the top cookie & hold shift then click the bottom cookie which will highlight them all, then right click & choose delete.
I've attached a video.
Sorry my bad explanation / poor choice of words.
Indeed you can do it that way, - but it's not the usual way of doing it, and doesn't seem to be the way that eliascam is doing it.
I was trying to get to the bottom of just what eliascam was (or wasn't) doing and so had ignored that particular method.

I have the feeling the OP is referring to the same problem I’ve seen in that CCleaner can auto run after closing Edge but when looking under cookies there’s several entries still there - ergo it appears either auto cleaning nor choosing clean cookies actually cleans them.
I apologise if this isn’t what the OP is referring to. <img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/default_smile.png" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20"></p>
