CCleaner does not delete the history of opened Office files

Hi,
CCleaner portable does not delete the history of opened Office files (I have 2021) in Windows 11 24H2, even though this option is enabled. It is CCleaner portable version 6.35.11488.

I previously had CCleaner portable version 6.31.11415, but also Windows 11 23H2, so I am not sure if the non-deletion of the history of opened Office 2021 files is caused by CCleaner version 6.35.11488 alone or only in combination with Windows 11 24H2.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

What about Nukecad, can you confirm or deny this bug in CCleaner? Or is it intentional that CCleaner is not deleting Office 2021 history now?

I haven’t got a clue other than some users report having issues with it.

I don’t use MS Office myself. (I use Softmaker Free Office).

As you note though changes could happenen for various reasons.
Is it the Windows version/build?
Is it something that Office has changed?
Maybe it’s related to OneDrive?
Maybe it’s a particular user setup or a particular make of machine or motherboard?

Maybe it’s CCleaner that has changed something?

One thought that occurs; are you using Performance Optimizer and is it putting your office to sleep when not in use?
We have had reports that for some users doing that means that Office will not then wake up when wanted. Maybe for others it will wake up but can’t be cleaned if/when it’s asleep?

I’m guessing, because as I say I have no idea what the issue may be.

No, I don’t use a performance optimizer and as I mentioned, the portable version 6.31.11415 cleared the Office 2021 history without any problems. Nothing changed anywhere. The only change was that I started using a newer version of CCleaner. So I don’t know… :-(.

I found that CCleaner does not delete the history of Office 2021 because CCleaner does not detect this Office at all. On the left side, in the “Applications” tab, this Office is not there at all. It was there in the older version of CCleaner 6.31.11415. It seems that the developers probably removed it. If so, they should list it in the changelog.
