Hi guys, I have CCleaner set up to wipe my drives every week. I noticed that Steam's usage data gets reset every time, meaning that I have to go through and acknowledge every license agreement and deselect every product key window all over again. I've already excluded Steam from CCleaner's activities; that entry shows as G\Steam\*.*
Any other ideas?
Thanks.
Have you tried just to untick Steam under Multimedia?
Which Windows & CCleaner version?
Latest CCleaner version, Windows 7 64-bit. I have no Steam under Multimedia... why is that? Steam is installed on a separate G: partition, could that be the reason?
..and by the latest you mean v3.18.1707, I guess?
Yeah CCleaner doesn't support custom folders/locations like that.
CCleaner probably doesn't clean anything related to Steam on your PC so the reason might be something else.
Sorry about that, I update every time I'm prompted, forgot about the version number ![:)]()
I'll run a few games, change some Steam settings and then run CCleaner, the only way to be sure.
It's not CCleaner, I think it might have just bypassed the Steam folder instead of excluding it. CCleaner does seem to be cleaning my G: partition though... Thanks for your help.
