its unnecessary, you can delete cookies without problems. ;) the "necessary" cookies come back with visit the page.

Help documentation:

the cookies will come back - but not what the cookies contained, like passwords.

but not what the cookies contained, like passwords.

i would give you so gladly right. but I need to respeak with them.

the passwords are stored in key3.db.

the cookies are stored in cookies.sqlite.

that is the reason why there in the ccleaner-options "passwords" and "cookies" and other things are separately.

C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\abcdefgh.default

it follows for the thread-opener: you can activate the option "cookies" with a good conscience. :)

the passwords are stored in key3.db.

that's not my understanding.

the passwords are not stored in key3.db but the cipher key used to encrypt or decrypt your stored passwords is.

there is also a 2nd place for the storage - logins.json

anyway, ff managed cookies separately from passwords.

if I should repeat myself, here again a copy from above B) :)
