CCleaner conflicting with app

I have been using CCleaner (for Windows) for a few years. But then some time ago I started using an app called TranslucentTB to make the taskbar transparent or translucent. The app will not work if it's not running, so it is set to start at the same time as Windows. About a year ago I began having problems with TranslucentTB; it no longer starts with Windows. I can set it to start with Windows by checking the Open at boot option in TranslucentTB, but the check mark disappears from one time to the next.

More recently, I was researching the problem on the Net, and one post I read said that CCleaner might be conflicting with TranslucentTB. Following that possibility, I tried uninstalling CCleaner temporarily, and that seemed to solve the problem! Not wishing to stop using CCleaner (I have the paid version of CCleaner Professional), I reinstalled it, and the problem with TranslucentTB returned. Seeking out a further solution, I found that CCleaner Performance Optimizer Service still continues running in the background even after CCleaner has been closed. So I stopped that service from running in Task Manager. Again, it resolves the issue.

I am not sure what that Optimizer Service does, or if it's necessary. (After running CCleaner once when I sign in to Windows, I never use it again after.) Does anyone else here use TranslucentTB, and have this problem? Is there an easier solution than this, or is a future CCleaner update going to resolve the issue?

Thank you for your help. You were right: PO has been putting to sleep several programs and apps, including TranslucentTB. I had already seen that several times, but since the app appeared to be still running, I never thought that would disable the Open at boot option. Anyway, ever since you responded back to me, and I selected Ignore in PO for that app, it's never shut off the Open at boot anymore. I think that's it, but I'm just going to keep my eye on it for a few days yet. Thank you again.

Performance Optimizer puts background processes to 'sleep' so that they don't use resources, they wake up again when you start to use their app.

But a background app like you describe is all background running, and so doesn't have an app to wake it up once it's been put to sleep,

You must have at some time told it to put your 'Translucent' app to sleep, (whether you meant to or not), so that is what it is doing.

If you open PO you can see if you have set it to put any particular app to sleep, and tell it not to do that in future if you don't want that.

It's not a fault to be 'resolved', it just needs the right setting choosing for how you want it to behave.
