Ccleaner cleaning process question

Hello everyone.

I've been using Ccleaner for years now, but on the last few months i formated a friends computer and and installed Ccleaner on his computer but after installing he asked me if Ccleaner really does clean all the history and cache and said that it does, but since then, i've been with one question on my head: Does Ccleaner really clean everything except the bookmarks and config?

Since i don't know the answer for this question i asking you guys if Ccleaner really does clear all on the browser except, bookmarks, add-ons and the config.

Thanks for the attention.

it certainly should.

but, a few examples of when it may not would be, if the browser was still open (or running in the background) when CC was run, or you are using an unsupported browser, or as with Edge (for the time being) it is not working with CC.

as a general rule, if it's Mozilla based, Chrome based or Internet Explorer based (excluding Edge), it should be cleaned.

So its guaranteed that the Ccleaner will clean everything?

Nothing is guaranteed.

In my experience, it cleans everything I expect it to.

And for the things it doesn't, I've added INCLUDEs to cover those areas.

But if you absolutely, positively need your browsing tracks to be removed, I wouldn't trust any one solution.

Let's face it, the last thing you want is your Mum finding the list of sites you have been on (nudge nudge wink wink). :)

I see, anyway thanks for the help!

So its guaranteed that the Ccleaner will clean everything?

what is meant by guarantee? By everything? Ccleaner does it's best to clean the junk from a PC. Does that mean, if somebody finds some archaic trace of internet junk left on a PC, that Piriform is in some way libel? No, so the answer is Yes with no guarantee.
