For the past year +, every time I scan my computers (desktop and laptop) using ESET Smart Security it will list 2 of the CCLeaner Browser files as being potentially unwanted application. I clean the files each time. I am finally trying to find out if anyone else is having the same issue. I have attached the 2 variations of the files that are listed.
Those are 'Potentially Unwanted Application' (PUA/PUP) detections.
The word to note is "Potentially".
ie. ESET thinks that you might not want them on your machine, but in the end that's your choice not theirs.
They are not saying that the files are malicious in any way, just that they personally wouldn't want them.
You can keep cleaning them each time, but they will keep coming back as long as you have CCleaner browser.
So a better option would be to whitelist them in ESET, so that it won't flag them in future.
