If you are using a work machine and wanting to clean files that you don't want your employer to know about then I am afraid we will not be able to offer any advice.
Sorry.
Hi, Let me provide more detail - this is for a company i own and I am selling equipment as we are going out of business.
Ah then in that case, once you have run a normal clean on the machine, run the drive wiper tool to clean the freespace of the drive and the information will be Virtually unretrievable
(notice the bold, underline and italic they are important)
Yes, but the OP asked whether it was possible to tell whether CC had been run on a drive. I don't know why the OP needs to know this, but quite probably is the answer.
Ohhhh I misread again, sorry.
I wanted to know if it is possible for someone to find out that I ran such a tool to clear of files, history etc?
They will not need to find out - they will KNOW if files and history was wiped by their total absence,
but have little knowledge of what was removed by whom or when.
You could gain "plausible deniability" if you re-instal Windows after wiping the drives.

Thanks the above is exactly what I needed to know.
