I just used my CCLeaner Pro Android app and in tips it showed me the high battery consumption apps so I chose several apps to force stop. I tried 7 times Force Stopping these apps nothing happens. Does anybody know why Force Stopping in Android apps isn’t working?
I’m replying to myself so some CCleaner user might see this and let me know. Several months ago I rolled back to CCleaner 6. The 7 Pro Plus was broken they shouldn’t have updated 6 until they knew what they were doing. Does anybody know if CCLeaner 7 Pro Plus is fixed as of 4/12/26?
I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL phone and the CCleaner Pro Plus app doesn’t clean anything since the Android 16 rollout. Do you know how much longer the CCLeaner Pro Plus app will be broken?
Hi @dadybear1234,
The issue you are reporting is on an Android device, and so not covered by CCleaner 6 or 7, which is a Windows application.
For the Android issue, please let me know which version of CCleaner for Android you are using. You can see this by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top left of the app and selecting About this app from the menu that appears.
The issue you resolved by rolling back from CCleaner 7 to CCleaner 6 please give me details of this issue so I can advise you further.

Thanks for confirming your app version @dadybear1234,
We are aware of an issue affecting cache cleaning for Android 16 users who are on the latest security update, and that one is currently under investigation by our development team.
As this issue is still in active investigation, I’m not able to share a time frame for when further details or a fix will be available. As soon as we have more to share, we’ll post an update.
On the separate point about rolling back from CCleaner 7 to CCleaner 6 — as mentioned previously, those are our Windows products and unrelated to CCleaner for Android, so if you could share details of what issue prompted that rollback I’d be happy to advise further on the Windows side.
Hi Laurence, it’s been so long since I rolled back from CCleaner 7 to CCleaner 6, it’s kind of hard to remember everything. The Interface is user-unfriendly, and the cookies list is in a different place entirely. Things were missing from CCleaner 7 that were in CCleaner 6. Again, it’s been so long that I cannot remember. If you look at what every user is saying in the CCleaner Community, I bet you’ll find everything I was referring to months ago. I apologize, I often wind up in the hospital much more lately, and when I get out, it takes days, sometimes weeks, to catch up on my emails.
Thank you,
Barry
