CCleaner and registration entries files

Hello,

We were having network problems at work. A colleague worked on my laptop to fix these network connectivity issues. However I'm not sure why he downloaded and used CCleaner. All of the internet history is wiped. I'd like to know:

1) If I 'merge' the registration entries files found in 'My Documents', does this restore anything to the effect?

2) Once I retrieved my laptop, in the 'downloads' folder, I found a file called 'documents-export-2014-07-30'. Once a CClean is carried out, are such document exports normal? I'm unable to open this download.

3) I've done a lot of research, but in a nutshell, is it impossible to find out what happened while my colleague was performing this CClean?

Thank-you...

1) registry restoration will not restore web history

2) ccleaner did not create this file

3) ccleaner does not keep a history of its use, I believe this is what you are asking

The only possible reasons I can think of for your "colleague" to install CCleaner was to :-

Undo some accidental damage to your computer software whilst he was using it ;

or to alter your computer,

e.g. to wipe from internet history and other types of history any evidence of what he was doing to your computer whilst it was under his control.

It is even possible that whilst you are reading my reply, your computer might now be copying it to him :o
