Whilst not commenting on the differences between v6 and v7 - you should bear in mind a couple of other things:

Firstly reinstalling 6 will have created junk files. (And if you had uninstalled 7so would that).

Secondly that just runing v6 twice in a row will also find things to clear again.

I can assure you that reinstalling CC 6 and then performing another clean could not possibly - as you well know - generate an additional gigabyte of files to clean. Particularly since I reinstalled 6 from a stored installer not needing to open a web browser.
