I used CCleaner 6 [Free] and was so pleased with it that I bought the upgrade version. When it upgraded to CCleaner 7 it over- wrote 6 and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I find programs don’t load properly and unresponsive pages seem to have geatly increased. I uninstalled the program and my computer [now 11 years old and slow!] and the PC worked better. A couple of weeks later I reinstalled it and it took around five attempts to load it. Again I found my favourite game had trouble loading and playing. Eventually I uninstalled it again, and again there was an improvement. This week I decided that as I had paid for it I would have another go so I reinstalled it. I couldn’t get it to load. Finally I got it working by right clicking on the Icon and opening from there as administrator. I ran a scan and it stopped running after three hours at 95% . I give up. I’m assuming that I will not get my money back, but I think I’ll go back to {Competition Software} . Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you Nergal. I reinstalled version 6, all seems well so far. If anybody else needs to do this don’t forget to uncheck the automatic updates box. Gerry K
